is this a good idea? 60 trim t3 w/no catalytic, 3" down pipe & full 3" exhaus
i was wondering if i should go with a 3" exhaust or 2 1/2". also i gotta friend with a 1g eclipse 4wd turbo with no catalytic & a 2 1/2" exhaust & his car sounds good, not loud. he told me cars with turbo & no cat don't sound as loud as a non turbo w/o cat. should i remove the catalytic?
the car is a 99' civic si b16a.

If you want a loud car then remove the resonator. Keep the cat. I dont fell like raising my kid in a fucked up atmosphere because some punk wanted to have a loud car.

dude r u joking around with that raising ur kid in a fucked up atmosphere crap? i didn't ask what would make my car louder. i know someone without a cat in a 1g turbo eclipse & it's not loud at all cause it's turbo. he told me it's alot louder in a non turbo car

Yeah, N/A cars are louder than turbo cars. My car was pretty ------- loud before i threw the turbo on, when i test drove it after the turbo was installed, all i heard was the spool of the empellors

Just see if you can get a high flow cat for a reasonable price. This way you are legal and you get the better HP gains (which i assume is what you wanted not a loud sound).
