A guy is selling a used 18g turbo with the manifold and cast pipe for $500--Is it a good deal? He says theres no shaft play. Oh and its for a b-series engine. I have 95 civic hatch with a 95 b18b engine that i want to boost this winter. The 18g is a pretty decent size isn't it? I'd eventually like to see 300hp after some engine upgrades, but for now i'd be happy with even 200whp or so-- would the turbo support 250hp at least? haha and on the stock rev limit (6800).

 

ya, thats a pretty decently sized turbo. I'm assuming he is selling you parts of the Greddy Kit. You should have no problem hitting 250whp on that setup. Just be sure to get the downpipe housing etc with it, because it has a goofy downpipe setup.

500 bucks aint bad.. but it aint a steel either.
