ummmm.... a vafc is the same thing as an safc except it is for cars with vtec. do you have vtec? if yes, then keep the vafc,IT'S THE SAME THING

yup same thing + vtec for vafc. could you be thinking of an AVC-R? they look very similar to s/vafc but is actually a boost controller.

So, you think I should ditch the VAFC and get a AVC-R??
Another question, is the AVC-R useful if I finally decided to go with Hondata some point in time?

thanks

NO, the avc-r is a boost controller, it allows you to electronically adjust the amount of boost you are running. the v-afc and s-afc are used (mainly) for adjusting the amount of fuel you are running through your injectors (and vtec control with the v-afc), they are two totally different things, you need the v-afc, you don't need the avc-r, however if you can afford it, you can have them both

i'm sure it has other features also that i don't know about, however i know that it doesn't do what you need you need your v-afc for.

What about the AVCR along with hondata, that should do that job right?? Use the AVCR as boost controller, and hondata as fuel managemnt, I assuem I don't need the FMU, but I will need bigger injectors, right??

Thanks for all the help

from what i've read on hondata.com they do not recommend using any piggyback computer systems (fields, apex-i *afc, etc.) with hondata ecu's. you can just get the s200 and the boost module, have it dyno tuned, and they say you only need a fuel pump. a 1:1 rising rate fuel regulator, and possibly larger injectors (depending on how much boost you want to run)
