I remember somebody on here had an idea to try to build something like this,

I can't decide if this is a cool idea or just a waste of money, any opinions?

 

waste of money, search through some pages, jeff did a write up on one of the boards about one he made.

 

Here is my version of the two stage boost controller. I have a selenoid t'd off the wastegate line that opens and closes. Then on the other line from the solenoid I have a valve that opens a little to bleed off some pressure. WHen the solenoid is closed, all the boost is seen by the wastegate, when it is open, some of it is bled off by the needle valve.

I used a solenoid off of a civic, I think most cars have these, you just got to find where they are located on the car.
