getting a little bit closer MORE PICS...56K?...ahahahaha
MORE PICS A FEW POSTS DOWN!!
i had some time today so i started takin out the y7 mani and puttin in the z6
I also put in my new oil restrictor to hopefully solve my oil leak on the exhaust side of the turbo.
here are some pics:
^oil restrictor
^the z6 mani first in without fuel rail, tb, and hoses
^ z6 mani almost done, most hoses connected, tb on with new gasket.
i still need to buy an fpr for the z6 fuel rail, and i have to cut my charge pipes to fit the z6 now and not the y7. i tested it today, i might have to do a little welding as well but we'll see.

Re: getting a little bit closer
so i am still workin on swappin out my y7 mani for the z6.
my question is could i drill a hole through the bolt thingy (for lack of a better term) in the z6 fuel rail?
pics will explain better:
^Y7 fuel rail
^Z6 fuel rail.
because if i just bolt on the stock bolt gas need to be able to flow into the side of the "bolt" but on the z6 the hole is on the top of the bolt. or would it be easier to go to the junkyard and get the right bolt and hose that goes to the fuel filter?
thanx

Re: getting a little bit closer
yea i do have it closed, i was opening it today with the unsatisfying feeling of gettin my hands all cut the hell up too. hahaha. do you know about how much i should open it? because i want to restrict the oil quite a bit at first just to see if my oil will still leak out the exhaust housing.

Re: getting a little bit closer
i dunno ive always used non adjustable restrictors, id say open it 50% or so for now
that z6 cap on the fuel rail may also require you to use a z6 fuel line by the way, not completely sure what you'll have to do since you're mixing and matching here.

Re: getting a little bit closer
^ yea i already figured i would. ill just make a trip to the junkyard on monday and see what i can find. the only prob the junkyard i go to mostly has OBD0's so i might have a hard time findin what i need, but im sure i can find somethin to ghetto-rig up to my setup.
just hopefully i wont have to use a different fuel filter or fuel pump. maybe ill check the part numbers at honda or somethin.
thanx for the help

MORE PICS
Cutting charge pipes to fit the z6 mani:
^ here is the charge pipe out with the dremel (took forever to cut with that little dremel but it was the best thing i had to uses)
^ in the act of cutting it
^ a little bit too long (better to cut it too long than too short) and its also high so i had to get the 90 degree bend to the left and shorten that one.
^ end result!
so the only thing left i need to do (i hope the only thing that is) is buy a z6 fuel line, and wait untill i get my z6 fpr, and install that real quick, and i still have to extend most of the sensors on the intake mani and throttle body. but its raining today so i wont be able to do much of anything today.
