Default getting boost on the gauge, but doesnt pull like it should

alright heres my setup

94 civic ex
ls/vtec- b18a with b16a2 head
eagle rods
je 9:1 pistons .20 over
fidanza flywheel
dsm 450's
safc
t3/t4 .57 trim
log mani
ssac wastegate set at 8 psi

alright well the car is pretty snappy until i start boosting, ill go, and as soon as boost starts to register on the gauge and i can hear it spooling, it feels like the motor doesnt want to go any further, the motor doesnt shut down, it just feels like its not producing anymore power

i thought i just had a faulty WG (the initials ssac made me think so) and it was just letting boost out, well then i thought, why would it still show i had boost pressure if it was just going out the wastegate, so i have no clue what it could be?

has anyone else had this happen?

where is the gauge hooked up, sounds like a boost leak.

I've seen the older style SSAC wastegates that don't close all the way. The newer ones work okay though.

yeah to both, well i got it figured out today, when i was putting my new throttle cable in a i had to take off my skunk2 throttle body to put a new set screw in for the idle adjust, when i turned it over i realized i had over looked a place to put the map sensor at

when i had first put the TB on i didnt see this spot so i just mounted my map sensor off to the back with a vaccum line going to it, well so i put the sensor on the TB and the thing pulls great, but the car is kinda running like ***, it seems like im leaking more oil than i was before from somewhere in the back, and the idle doesnt seem as great, BUT WHO CARES IM FINALLY BOOSTING GOOD AGAIN

well that fixed most of my problem but i think im still leaking boost somewhere, its not falling on its face anymore, you can feel it getting a little boost, but not like it should, registers on the gauge as 8, but i KNOW its not pulling like 8,

im venting my pcv valve and that other line into just a water bottle in the back of my block now, could boost be coming out of there? is there a successful way of testing my intercooler to see if its leaking out of there? any clues?

You can make these yourself but if you are lazy just buy one, you can use it for the charge pipping and the IC

yeah you could make somethin like that probably with just a rubber pvc pipe plug end, but how would you get the air into the intercooler from the other tank?
