Garrett DP flange Ford or Chrysler??
I've got a Garret t3/t4 (t04b) and I'm having a bitch of a time getting the right flange for it. There are no part numbers so I have no idea what it came off of. After purchasing a "standard 5 bolt t3" flange well..its too damn small and the holes do not line up. So I bought another one from a different company and again, too small same exact flange as the first one.
My question is which is the larger of the two t3 styles? Ford/AMG/Mercades or Mitsu/Chrysler. http://www.kteller.com/store/product...roducts_id/701 I would hate to buy this flange and find out that again its the wrong one. On Ebay I found one for a Ford type where as at Kteller its NON-ford http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true If it helps my turbo is water and oil cooled. The original flapper valve is a 3 hole dp type. http://img23.exs.cx/img23/2816/turbo007.jpg http://img23.exs.cx/img23/7011/turbo009.jpg http://img66.exs.cx/img66/3372/turbo008.jpg Here you can see how much smaller the flange is. Only 2 holes line up :( http://img66.exs.cx/img66/7053/turbo005.jpg |
Re:Garrett DP flange Ford or Chrysler??
I had the same problem. Ended up using the Chrysler 5-bolt. Its larger. Best thing for you to do is measure the two furthest holes and then measure another two holes and give those dimensions to the person selling it.

I have one that might work 6 high 4.5 at widest point and 5 from top hole tofurthest but not the bottom some of the holes are slotted

Re:Garrett DP flange Ford or Chrysler??
Haha, I had the same problem. I ordered about 3 5 bolt flanges and none of them worked. I finally found a guy who knew which flange I needed and I got that one. Now I'm too afraid to find a new flange so I've been re-using the same 5 bolt flange I have and have been through 3 different downpipes. :D
