full boost at 5000+ GAY...
I recently aquired a turbod z6 hatch for a good price. It has a xs power mani with a xspower t3 turbo 42.48. Im buying a new turbo asap but i dont get why with such a small turbo and drag mani that it take until 5000 to make a full 7psi..... The motor has good compression, turbo is brand new, 2.5" downpipe. My ony guess is the tune... Which is getting a retune in a week anyways. Any ideas cuz im hoping its just the tune.
people seem to be making full boost on t3' around 3800-4000 compared to 5000

yea boost leak or pre-turbo exhaust leak, eith between mani and head, mani and wastegate(if external), mani and turbo, or if internal wastegate the actuator may be faulty and not clsing the flapper all the way

my buddy has a similar issue... full spool by 4800-5000 (t3-.48/.42), but only 3 psi according to boost gauge. i keep thinking his actuator isn't closing the flapper... how can we check that? we have a "7 lb." actuator off of a 240 he wants to try. would that work?

well.. it'd be fairly easy to swap the 9 lb for the 7 lb we know works.
i called him. he said that when he swapped on the blitz BOV... he tore the gasket for the 1g dsm (which he put back on it). today... we are gonna go over everything w/ soapy water. this 3 psi ---- is stupid
