ok sweet, umm im still new to all this though so can you tell me where the thermostat is located and maybe even send a pic? also how do i remove the black bar? do i still have to if i do the thermostat thing? or will that fix all of it thanks!

 

Well it's not really specific, so I chose not to assume and I spent a whole 10 sec. asking him. But I could've just blurted some random ---- out and looked like an asshat, kind of like what you did. jfwy I like your avatar.

 

definatly do it right, a new thermostat is 7$ and a new oring is what a dollar, do it right the first time.

sigh, the thermostat is at the tranny end of the black pipe. when you remove that, you will be able to pull out the black pipe completely. pull the old o rings off the black pipe and replace them with new ones, put it all back together the way it came out.

good luck, maybe you should take this to the shop?

edit: oh yeah, when you thought it was leakin from other places, that black box was the pcv box. the fluid just dripped onto that and then came off the bottom. if you're gettin antifreeze out of the pcv box, you're fucked, time to rebuild the engine

 

k i just replaced the thermostat and it seems like it is still leaking from the black bar so i guess im gonna go rip that out and replace the orings...

 

k well i cant figure out how to get out that damn black bar...any info would help?!?!

once everything is disconected from the bar just pull it out of the block, it will be stuck, yank hard
