If anyone needs a replacement clutch, DO NOT GET A CLUTCHMASTERS! they suck ***. I thought the clutch was slipping a little when i was running 5psi, but i figured it was just too rich from the basemap and thats why it wasnt revving up. well we tuned it last night for 12psi and thats all the clutch could take. We were wondering why it wouldn't light the tires up through first... pos clutch. Took it to philly tonight and pretty much did it in for. Cant even make more than 5psi now, the clutch just spins instead. Its a $200 somthing dollar "stage 2" ---- OFF CLUTCHMASTERS! Ahhhh, im pissed. Now i gotta buy a $300 act one. shoulda done it right in the first place

why not get a Clutch specialties clutch from "LSD MOTORSPORTS" and call it good.

i never heard of clutch specialties, an ACT is better anyway. just alot of $$$

Clutch Specialties comes in 2 flavors, sprung and unsprung six puck. Ive been raping mine for 1 1/2 years now and its still doing what its supposed to. currently its out of the car during my rebuild and it still looks really good, best beleive its going right back in.

for the price its the best deal on clutches...

i think that applys to the buying of the clutchmasters too... i have heard of many people that have had problems. ---- my buddy has a stage 2 or someshit on his stock A6 and it slips and is just a peice of ----...

i have ran ACT XTSS clutches on 3 differnet setups (sold them), i ------ love them! never had it slip. and i raped those cars pretty hard. love doing burnouts, or just seeing how far i would spin my tires down the street.. hell im gonna buy another one for my GSR...

I have Centerforce dual friction supposedly great clutch and that piece of ---- won't hold to a T25 at 10psi on a D16.Was on sale at my local parts store.I know how you feel now I gotta spend a bunch of money and pull the tranny out.Lessoned learned buy the absolute best clutch you can afford or get fucked.

Thats funny, Clutch specialties was the company that started
ACT... i guess some people cant withstand the temptation of owning a yellow pressure plate. Personally id expect it to be made out of gold for the price, but ehhh i guess yellow will do. Clutch
Specialties really does offer a solid product and a very affordable price. Just trying to give you laugh, but We do carry ACT clutches to if you want one, give me a holler and ill take care of you.

of all these clutch issues, how many had the flywheel properly machined to the correct step?

Stock Honda clutch, 13.27 @ 100 mph with 75 shot
Used (from Fowee) Centerforce Dual Friction, 13.09 @ 103 mph 85 shot.

Went to bigger injectors, blew thru the CF DF and ran 13.40 @ 104........

Swapped in a ClutchMAster 4 puck.........too much clutch!!!!!!!!!

Properly stepped flywheel, PRICELESS!
