anyways, i went over the parts iin my head and heres what ive to come to and what i need and if anyone has any thoughts or advice cuz ive never boosted a D

i have 230 cc injectors those aren't very big i guess i need bigger ones although he is only boosting 6 psi *free. if not ~ 45$

front mount intercooler = bought 10$

need a po6 or pm6 ecu? ~ 50$

chip and kit: 15$

need a turbo (hit me up if u got anything) ~ 100

looking for a volvo BOV or DSM BOV ~ 20

im welding all pipes. ~ 50

i wont need a boost control if im using a .42/.48 trim correct

thats a total of 375 dollars. add in 25 bux for misc parts and thats 400$

then oil ines, oil PSI and BOOST gauge ~70 $

thats it right? i still have a 30 $ left over so i will get a z6 intake manifold.

how does that look to you guys?

y8 heads take some adjusted timing but AFAIK are one of the top flowing d series heads.

yeah, your friend is a jackass. i wouldnt let you touch my car for free let alone pay you to do it.

just start drilling holes in his camgear and flywheel to lighten the rotating assembly. extra 15hp. and then stick a couple jdm roadflares in there, 20hp and he can use them when his ---- breaks all to pieces on the road.

wow your going to turbo it for 500 and make nothing off it ... what a steal ... charge him a grand spend 700 make it nice and easy and make 300 bucks if he dont like it tell him to get fucked... last car i turboed the kid brought everything over ... everything .. and i charged him 700 for labor but he offered to pay that if it was done right and everything work ( becouse he installed the turbo upside down ) needless to say his ching chan g meow kit is still runnin good and he is a happy customer

like i can see if its a real good buddy or something .. but if it was his good buddy he wouldn't through a bunch of ---- on his car with 40% education of doing so.
If you want to help him out tell him its not worth ------ riggin his car for 500 and breaking down all the time.. and since your friends sounds like he doesnt know anything about turbos tell him to save the money buy a nintendo wii and play race cars on mario cart ... ;) :-*

wtf i don't see whats wrong with the setup i posted. he's a friend of mine, and I make and have enough money to sit around all day so i might as well turbo his car.

this is his daily driver, but i don't see there being a problem with good welds and a solid tune. he's not a speed freak, so the boost bug won't push him to go higher, he just wanted more power and has 500 dollars.

good point...as long as he's not trying to break any records and agrees to 1. run 92 regardles of price.. 2. no 5th gear pulls. 3. and not blame you for anything that may or may not hapen internally

other then that have fun

oh and make up a contract with a few of the above included so you aren't held liable ;)
