i just got a free garret from work came off a v dub piece. its still attached to the manifold. its the one piece cast ----. Can i just chop that ---- off and have someone stick weld that ---- to an hf manifold. I just want to boost one of these 3 D series blocks i got laying around, or maybe the b7 in the car.

how about some specs on the turbo? Pics?

 

only pic i got is on the camera phone and that ---- sucks, its a garrett, on the tag it has a VW symbol, and Audi symbol. says VNT15 made in france GA3 and has a big vin like code on it. the inlet is like 1/2 inch and the outlet is even less. i know i'm not helping for ----, but its off the stock 1.8 turbo beetle maybe. it was gonna be thrown for scrap from a warranty job but has no leaks, no play and was given to me.

 

 

The VNT15 is small, it's what's used on the 1.9tdi VW.
