Default Freaking o2 problem

ok i tried almost everything to get rid of that code41 (the o2 heater code). tired about like 5 different sensors including a brand new one. also rewired the wires used for the sensor. tried the ressistor trick in the 2 black wires. now i think theres probably something rong in the ecu. once the 2 black wires shorted out so could thisve caused some damage in the ecu?

the two black wires are for the heater. If they shorted out it could have caused damage to the ecu, but althoguh they are 12 volt wires i believe they are low amperage so i wouldn't expect them to hurt the ecu, but i guess anything's possible. I'd check the wiring. Unplug the ecu from the harness, and then check for continuity between all of your wires and ground.

Some sensors are case grounded.(they are grounded by the material they are threaded into) If it's a two wire heater circut, it would stand to reason that it would not need to be installed to work.(I could be wrong though) An ECU swap with a known good unit is the best test but I would also check the resistance across the heater core and match it to spec. If you switched it out with other know good sensors, it would also stan to reason the problem is in the ECU. Is there a spec for testing the ECU at the pins?
