Since it¡¦s introduction in 1999 Synapse Engineering¡¦s Missing Link„µ has brought to the market a solution for after-market turbocharged Honda/Acura/Mitsubishi/Neon that eliminated an array of problems. Consequently, thousands of enthusiasts began to enjoy boost instead of solving issues day after day. And with success, comes knock-offs.

Regrettably, due to rampant counterfeiting of our products, we will no longer be providing warranties for the first generation of the Missing Link„µ. We have always had an open door policy for warranties against defects, and most often cases of ¡§user error¡¨ were warrantied without question. But with the stem of cheap, knock-off¡¦s imported from overseas, we cannot take on the time consuming process of verification of genuine products in order to warranty inquiries. These knock-offs incur very high failure rates, and inaccurately impart a misconception in the market that our products are poorly designed, poorly manufactured and simply a non-functional gimmick. In the time since we first introduced the Missing Link, our product¡¦s operational failure rate has been below 0.002%

But progress, is put forth by those that innovate, not imitate. Like any technology today, we progress, and will soon be releasing an entirely redesigned line of Missing Link„µ that incorporates improved valve response and filtered intakes for reliability. We will not leave our customers out in the cold. In the coming weeks, we will introduce an upgrade program that will allow owners of genuine product, as well as those stung by knock-offs to upgrade to the latest, most improved version of the Missing Link at a significantly discounted price point.

How do I know that I have a knock-off? We will soon put up a page on our site to identify these knock-offs, but the telltale signs are: You bought it on ebay (from dshih2002@yahoo.com) or it came with your turbo kit ordered online via www.dragturbokits.com.

What do I do if I have a knock-off and it never really worked? First step is to forward a written complaint to us that includes your contact information and the entity that sold you that part. We will forward all complaints to DHS (US Customs Fraud) and the FBI (Fraud Division). Second step is to upgrade via the upgrade program we will be releasing soon on our web site.

It is never easy to have to make this announcement, but I believe that all of you should know that there are products being sold to you by illegitimate entities that are not only fake, but they do not work as advertised. We work hard to bring you innovation, and we appreciate your support.
