thats what i plan on doing in my 1gen crx

but i shouldnt have any probs with sleeves? i will be lowering the comp and using uber to tune. im just sick of having like two full kits (one b one d) sitting at my house and not being put to good use. are there any pistons that are better than another?

That's why they call them the disposable "D". All forged pistons are in all honesty pretty much all the same. I know alot of people like JE which if I had the money I would go with too but I've become pretty fond of Wiseco pistons'. I also can vouch for Tuner Toys rods. They are a great company to work with and have good products! Infact the TunerToys rods are made by a company called SYSC Rod Inc. in which the rods are manufactured in the same building as Eagle,Scat,etc.etc.

yeah tunertoys are good people to deal with im waiting on an oil line kit and diy log mani ;D
so you think the tunertoys rod with a set of probe low comp should be a good set up(probes are the cheapes pistons i could find)

It's all in the tune, anyway. Blundar will tell you of a boosted H22 running a MAPhack in the greater Cincy area last I knew it had 1.5 years of flogging the goat piss out of it + still no cracked ringlands.

Yeh, I PM Craig about getting ARP rod bolts for a D-series, which aren't listed on his website, and he goes and adds them. YAAAAAARR!!1 9 out of 10 Pirates approve!

spenser doesn't know what he's talking about, he's never owned a b series in his life. b20 sleeves are plenty strong enough, it's all in the tune. there are people making over 600whp on stock sleeves, and i personally have seen 415whp on stock b20 sleeves and i'm sure they could handle even more. good pistons/rods, a huge turbo and a good tune is all you need :-*

would you guys recomend diy piston/rod install at home? my and my boy are mach inclined weve done a few swaps. is it hard? i would thinkg taking everything apart would be the hard part. but ive never ripped a block apart
