forged need sleeves?????????????????????????

i was reading something some where and it mentioned something about not being able to run forged parts on stock sleeves is this trew? something about expantion of the moving parts? so even tho they are stock bore they get slightly bigger and destroy the walls. any info would help

forged pistons need s a specific piston to wall clearence, this is usually spcified in the literature that comes with your pistons. You CAN run forged pistons and rods with stock honda sleeves (some exceptions, like h22s for example).

and like the b20? now when poeple talk about how much a stock block can handle is it the piston/rods they are talkin about or would it be the walls too? im lookin to get the set of pistons/rods off of ebay. in the $700 range. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW any thoughts?
has anyone delt with the tunertoys rods? those are the cheapes rods ive seen but no word on them yet.

B20? HA! you so much as look at that block the wrong way and it will crack a sleeve. If you're gona be throwing some pistons and rods in there, you NEED to sleeve it. B20 sleeves are weaker then kains self worth. Other B series blocks are a different story, you can still push decent power and not sleeve them. When poeple talk about how much a stock block can handle, they are talking about a unopened block.

I've heard nothing but good things about the tunertoyz rods, and those would be my personal choice for a rod.... they are manufactured in the same building as other well known rods to the same specs and tolerances. cough-eagle rods-cough.

thats what i plan on doing in my 1gen crx

but i shouldnt have any probs with sleeves? i will be lowering the comp and using uber to tune. im just sick of having like two full kits (one b one d) sitting at my house and not being put to good use. are there any pistons that are better than another?

That's why they call them the disposable "D". All forged pistons are in all honesty pretty much all the same. I know alot of people like JE which if I had the money I would go with too but I've become pretty fond of Wiseco pistons'. I also can vouch for Tuner Toys rods. They are a great company to work with and have good products! Infact the TunerToys rods are made by a company called SYSC Rod Inc. in which the rods are manufactured in the same building as Eagle,Scat,etc.etc.

yeah tunertoys are good people to deal with im waiting on an oil line kit and diy log mani ;D
so you think the tunertoys rod with a set of probe low comp should be a good set up(probes are the cheapes pistons i could find)

Which don't work, and the bores wear the ---- out anywhat. The faggot speshul coating on the skirts is composed primarily of LIES to sell you something.

It's all in the tune, anyway. Blundar will tell you of a boosted H22 running a MAPhack in the greater Cincy area last I knew it had 1.5 years of flogging the goat piss out of it + still no cracked ringlands.

spenser doesn't know what he's talking about, he's never owned a b series in his life. b20 sleeves are plenty strong enough, it's all in the tune. there are people making over 600whp on stock sleeves, and i personally have seen 415whp on stock b20 sleeves and i'm sure they could handle even more. good pistons/rods, a huge turbo and a good tune is all you need :-*
