the actuator might be fine but is there any tension on the flapper door at rest? there should be at least a tiny bit.
I'm not certain. It was late when I finally go the actuator connected to the flapper, and all I was concerned about was the flapper being shut. I'd say there probably isn't too much tension on it if I had to guess. I had to make an extension for the actuator and it's at an angle to get around the PCV crankcase ventilation whathaveyou. Would that have any effect on spool time?
