Default Fooling the wastegate

I have a Starion Turbo and they are set at 11 lbs of boost but I only want to run 7 on my set up. I saw the Hondatuning article and they said to bend the wastegate lever or change the spring does anyone know any better ways any info is helpful.

There was that trick where you cut the arm, thread bothe ends and add a threaded tube between them in the FAQ section... Link doesn't work, but I have the ho to picture somewhere if you want it.

yes that'll work

basically your making it so you can make the arm as long or as short as you want.

but thing is
if you lower the boost.. it does it by making the flapper open sooner.. but before its fully open, it'll be open a little bit, letting out gases, and taking longer for it to spool.

if the more you drop the boost the longer it'll take to spool.
so you'll end up hitting like 6psi by 5k rpm or some bs.

well maybe thats an exteme case and this is all hearsay,
but i'm pretty sure thats how it works.

Thanks guys your info was helpful I was looking at my wastegate actuator last night and a matter of fact it is threaded at the end so you can ajust it. So I was just making sure that to decrease boost you loosen it up. Do you think running 8 psi's on a fmu is a good idea I have a 2000 ex with the d16y8 it only has 60k on it. I have a jackson racing fuel pump and zex turbo spark plugs I was wondering if this would be enough also I was thinking of adding mitsu 450's with a resistor box of coarse tell me what you think.

sure you could do it temporarily but the fact is that the fuel needs for 8psi will but a lot of stress on the fuel system. I'd keep boost at 6-7 psi until you get better management.
