FMUs do work.
Unless you have a Honda and have an IQ above normal. Then you have better options. Since you dont have either read on.
Why are you looking into this are you runing lean ?
If your runing lean look at something simplere like increasing the fuel pressure in your fuel rail. If that dont work an FMU can be setup to work.

A FMU will work with any fuel injectected motor with a return fuel line, so no it does'nt have to be a "Honda".
The main problem with a FMU is it does'nt take much to reach the safe limit. Fuel pressure can get very high and the fuel pump will not beable to supply enough pressure, plus the injectors could lock up. And it does'nt do any thing with ignition timing.
