first turbo project... am i missing anything??
So here is my list of all my parts for my turbo project.(DOHC ZC) I want to make sure I’m doing it right. First before I start installing parts I am doing a lil prep work.. am I missing anything Also I have MSD SCI, PN6300.w/Blaster SS coil ..is that going to be a problem??
-Cometic MLS head gasket
-ARP head studs
-Centerforce Stage II clutch
once all is broken in, I will start with the turbo install. Parts list as fallow
-255 walbro fuel pump
-450cc injectors (DSM)
-chipped ECU
-T25 turbo w/wastegate
-STD/HF manifold
-manifold turbo adapter flange (HF to T25)
-2.5 charge pipeing
-Front mount intercooler
-Blow off valve
-boost gauge
-oil pressure gauge
-boost controller
-oil filter sandwich
-oil feed and return lines
-coolant feed and return lines
-couplers and clamps
-Vacuum lines
-turbo inlet gasket
-O2 housing gasket
-HF manifold gaskets
-bung for oil return on oil pan
- Custom downpipe

i was going to have xenocron burn me a chip. no coolant lines?? ur joking right?..... im not going to be useing syn oil so i figured i needed my turbo to stay as cool as possible. any brands of widebands u would recommend thats not going to run me $600

Think of it like this... when you hook up coolant lines you're not only cooling your piece of ---- used turbo down, but you're also heating your motor up. I've run my 14b uncooled for many many miles, gone on long trips, I even have the center housing clocked like 20* towards the block to get the oil drain to line up better. No leaks or blown turbo so far mang.

I would look into selling the t25 and even just a nice t3 or td05 will make it that much more worth it.
I have seen countless people using the t25 which is perfect for instant boost but really on a ZC you want the top end

I like my Zeitronix wideband, $279 if you are just going to use the laptop for tuning. Extra if you want a gauge, about $379 for a round gauge, $399 for their rectangular display that shows several parameters, these are the kit prices.

I got an LC-1 with sensor for 180 shipped. Then I bought an eBay 0-20 volt DC panel meter and use it for my guage. Wideband with dataloging and two ouputs and guage for 194 shipped.
