So i am running again with help from arp head studs and d16z6 head gasket and running good time slip's coming around mid to end of may

 

my "rad" was smoking a lot when i did mine, it just needed a new radiator cap. had a leakdown test done on it, it was holding 18psi fine. way to rep the d15b7, too many people seem too afraid to do it. im b7 boosted and lovin it.

but G'DAMN dude! you should NOT be running a freakin fmu on that engine running 7 pounds of boost. how long do u expect that thing to last? a couple of months? i would never run more than 5psi of boost on any car with an fmu, unless u like running ridiculous fuel pressures. go with uberdata, its much more reliable, makes tons more power on a halfway decent tune, and is half the price of a fmu what you can go ahead and call a standalone engine management. you're in very dangerous territory, especially for a mini-me running 10.8-11:1 compression. like you said, its already started pinging. watch it or you're gonna be engineless very soon. you should not be skimping on fuel at all.

i'll chip your ecu with uberdata for you, mail it to me, i'll give u zerOdaze's rom (he made 230whp on a b7/y8 combo with a 14b). i have a car i can test it on, i charge $65, $15 for any additional chips, $20 to make it datalogging-capable, and it takes about a week for me to chip it and send it back.
