Default First ever rear mounted turbo cherokee

Well I've oxend and drivin my B16 EF hb for 7 rears now I'm 23 and it was my first car I bought. It's had 5 different motor ZC's to start then going to b series has had 2 different turbo set-ups zc turbo aand b16 turbo then at last I was running nitrous on my b16 and was happy. But I ran the car into a curb bendingg the frame and cause the front cross member was hacked from my old turbo set-ups from the return lines it bent into a V shape. So I got tired of my civic and people always trying to steal it so I soldit out as parts and bought a 93' Jeep cherokee 4.0L 4WD. No as fast as my civic but in the winter time that 4 wd came in handy.

Well it's not fast enough so I was cleaning out my appartment when I moved 6 months ago and found a brand new KKK series turbo off new GTi 1.8T that I had when I worked as a tech for Volkswagon. I relized hey it.'d be neat to turbo my jeep. So intead of doing the reg. off the manifold set-up Iwill be doing a re-mounted turbo set-up. Everyone says the trubo is too small but my jeep only rev.'s to 5 grand and it being far enough back I only need a turbo that will give and boost great low end cause it's not like my civic that will rev. to 8,000 RPM's I think it will work fine.

I have everything I need except one thing. The oil return line on rear mounts has to be fed by a pump gravity doesn't work when it's in the back of the car I can't find anyone that sells this pump I called squires turbo who make rear mounted kits but they won't sell the pump seperate only with the kit. Anyone have any leads I could use to get this pump ? Of course everything will be custom and from other caar parts if need be. I have pic.'s on my phone but I"m trying to figure how to send them to my e-mail so I can post them.
As far as fuel man. the jeep uses a GM 1 bar map sensor so all I need is some bigger injectors and for 8psi will everything will work fine after I retune the ecu.

Just think, that snail is small for a 1.8. Let alone a engine that almost triple the size of that. Not physically bigger but you know what I mean. I say sell it and atleast pick up a 42/48 T3 if not a 60/63. Their still small but alot better then that Gary Coleman sized KKK.

Yes when I look at it, it does seem really small. I was going to keep the cat. converter in place before the turbo to add some restriction. The reason why I thought it it's good is cause it's small, I don't if any of you have look under a jeep but there's not much room to work with. No room in the very back the gas tank is ji-normiss and the leaf springs sit really close to the fuel cell. So the onlyplace I found was under the passenger rear seat next to the drive shaft but before the rear end. a T3 I agree would be better but space is just a big option the only other thing I was thinking is doing a twin turbo set-up using 3 cyclinders on one turbo and three on the other using a second K series or somethinglike two DSM T25's but doing that is alot more work.

I like the rear mount idea cause for the winter time or emissions reason I can easly unbolt the turbo, plug up the feed and return line and run the jeep N/A style. Either way does anyone know where I can pick a electric oil pump for the return line ?? I tried summit racing but they no longer carry them , I tried calling SUPPOSELY turbo performance shops and so called experts and most don't even know or have even heaard of rear mounted set-ups.

ok listen, the truck wont make ANY more power than stock with that turbo. plain and simple. you need to go bigger. oh and i hope that u CAN re-tune the ECU, though an FMU would prob work for ya

don't tell us you're going to do it, do it, and then show us you did it.

ps - rear mounted = gay.
