Re:Got my turbo on (dyno)
Somwhere in the area of 300hp 230tq but the only way to no for sure is to try :P very nice setupby the way.
|
Re:Got my turbo on (dyno)
---- nice number man. yea im guessing youll be around the 300 mark
|
Re:Got my turbo on (dyno)
Damn those are great numbers! What'd you used to tune?
Congrats!!!! |
Re:Got my turbo on (dyno)
yeah, those hp figures are awesome for such low boost, i guess its the turbo, 12 psi should be up there, it will rip...
|
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
what kinda equal lenght manifold, ie brand and what kinda management are you running, those are nice numbers.

standalone as in hondata, turboedit, uberdata? yes please elaborate.
|

apex-i
|
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
i'm guessing right around 335 + :-D
haha, someones running 12 lbs |
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
Keep in mind this engine is mildly built ;)
Rollerwave pistons and Eagle rods Good job Stephan |
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
Josh, you guesed right ;)
Jeff, the eng. is slightlly ;) built. I would not recomend running this set up on a stock engine. But its also lower compression than stock gsr. |
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
pretty nice numbers if its at 6 psi
|
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
yes that was at 6psi the new numbers are 335 whp @ 12psi, ill have the sheet uploaded later on the day.
|
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
|
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
wow, is it safe to boost 12 psi with only pistons and rods?
Whats the top with that setup? thats all u have? no thicker head gasket, no block guard nothing else? |
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
no block guard, OEM honda head gasket. You do need a lot of tuning to make sure you don't detonate and/or run lean/reach. 98ctr
|
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
Uhm, sounds very good! Id like to talk to you about all this, is it posible?
|
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
sure I have no problem. 98ctr

Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
Very nice man, excellent work. What do you think you could do on the track? Do you have pics of your setup?
|
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
well im hoping for low 12's, but the car its only as good as the driver is, so ill have to wait and see. as for pictures I don't have any at this time but ill see if I can get some soon. 98ctr
|
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
Nice setup...good management...awesome dyno numbers ;D.
Read somewhere that the cilinders start to flex at 15 psi...but I've seen people boost higher then that though on non supported sleeves. |
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
my friend is boosting 20-24psi on stock sleaves on gsr crx and he runs low 10's in the quarter mile. so I think ill be ok with running 12psi on stockies. 98ctr
|
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
nice...I know the stock sleeves are ductile iron...like any aftermarket sleeve...the thicknes is different, but read it should be able to take 30 psi if the cilinder itself doesn't move, wobble.

Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
blockguard is not always good for your engine. Block posting works better. But I didn't know if I was going turbo or n/a untill the last minute, so I just left it stock. 98ctr
|
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
I find postin and blockguard...both work...only if you sintall it right.
Blockguard needs to be a good one that lets enough coolant pas thru it and welded in...It's also stated on theoldone.com . block post is cheaper |
Re:Finally turbo is on (dyno)
that is verry ture, block guard it has to be welded in order to keep from moving. In order to weld the block guard in you have to bing the block to the right tep. so you don't mess up the block during welding. I don't really know exactlly how but its the same way you do the head. 98ctr

Re:Finally turbo is on (pics updated 6-22-04)
thats a ugly manifold stephan, did you find that one in the dumpster at intec? :P
|
Re:Finally turbo is on (pics updated 6-22-04)
what's wrong with going through the dumpster Jeff. lol 98ctr
