Finally tuned
My friend and I finally went out tonight for some wideband tuning. Hooked up the o2 in freezing weather and got underway. After 2.5 hours in 10 degree weather, pulling my chip out burning it and putting it back in about 10 times. I need datalogging/ostrich bad. Anyway it all turned out good. Found out that my "safe" basemap wasn't so safe after all. Spiking to 14:1 AFR's in boost does not seem safe to me. And to think, I have been ripping on it like that for 2 months. Idle came out to 14-15:1. Part throttle was 13-14:1. And boost was 11.5-12:1 all the way through the powerband. It pulls harder now and I know it's at least good for 8 lbs. Time to turn up the boost. I'll be uploading to Xenocron's site after I get the tune off my friend's laptop. All in all a good night.
Yea, this was one heck of a night. I won't go into all the details, but wow it felt good to get that thing done. There were like three cells on the map that were incredibly lean, and no matter what I did I couldn't get them straightened out, and the very last run, it turned out nice, found the spot and everything worked out. Turned out well minus one thumb nail and resoldering my wideband connectors. :P
