thats gonna be one hot intercooler, right next to the turbine.

i like your method for mounting the ECU, I'm so gonna do that, why didnt i think of it sooner? especially now since the track gives me ---- for not having it secured.

Hey, im new to the hondas but I have been researching lately and decided im gonna get a Ef hatchback and I wanna do a cheap *** turbo project and hopefully get some decent hp. I wanna go with a t3 .48 60 trim. I figure that will work real good for these smaller honda motors. I was wondering what numbers you think your putting out and what kinda turbo your running? Also what other cheap motor alternatives should I consider for a cheap boost project... d16z6? Sorry for all the questions but the reason im asking is because you did great with yours and I wanna do the same myself. Sorry these kinda questions are asked so much but I am new here and not new to forums in general so I will only be a pain for a short amount of time. Just gotta get the hang of the whole new tuning hobby.

nope. i have a temp sensor mounted there to keep up with that (i thought it would be hot too), the sensor is mounted on the backside of the intercooler close to the turbo, it gets up to 85-90 sitting in traffic, whenever i'm moving it stays 70-75 degrees farenheit. i was suprised too, i guess having that much airflow to it keeps it nice and cool.

d16z6 is a great motor to do it on, i almost got one, but decided im going to be swapping for a built b18b this summer. my turbo is a 14b, lil bit smaller than a .48/.60 t3, its closer to like a .42/.48. i estimate i'm putting out somewhere between 150 and 170whp, i have a pretty good street tune from doing 15 datalogging runs, averaging them, and plugging it into the autotune program for uberdata. i could probably get a good amt more power tuning the ignition tables, but im waiting for the dyno to mess with that. total cost for everything was under $800.

yeah I was thinking about doing a Ls turbo setup and try to get around upper 200 hp or lower 300 but I dont need that yet because this is my first car. I was just gonna find a good 1.5 or 1.6 and try to build a turbo kit for it. I think I have finnaly got the whole idea of how a turbo works and what I need. Just gotta keep reading but I need a little boost of knowledge haha. I have been reading forever just to get up to the amount of knowledge I have now (the reason Im just now postin on honda forums). This is deff the most helpful and unique site I have read so far. I can relate to the ghettoness of HMT. Sometimes you get more then you pay for

I wanna strip my cars inside and everything and still have it look decent with a little class and not exactly a metal cage. I really like how lightweight the EF hatchbacks are so I wanna take advantage of that by having a almost auto-x / street racing car. I was wondering what ideas you guys could give me as far as what junkyard D motor turbo setups I could use. I want a nimble go kart with rocketpower basiclly lol. Cant really describe it and im kinda under the influence right now (not gonna drive tonite so dont worry).
