Finally finished my setup, take a look, lots of pics

27 Attachment(s)
My turbo project is underway, here is the setup…..

D15b7 in a 93 Del Sol
Teo4h turbocharger, from a Chrysler in a junkyard
VX manifold
Stealthmode oil lines
Homemade adapter plate, pretty badass if I might say so myself (pics below)
DSM blue top 450’s
OBD1 chip kit
Willems Enhanced programmer
Xenocron Data Cable
DSM 1g intercooler
Greddy knockoff type-rs bov
Home depot catch can
Faze boost gauge
Charge piping- 2” EMT conduit/radiator hose/home depot couplers
Spark plugs
Custom 2 ½ exhaust
PLX-M300 wideband
Last but not least my donation and BIG THANKS to HMT

I’m sure I missed some stuff too

Here’s the Project….

First I started off with a riced out 93 del sol with a d15b7, 100,000 miles (I wish I could take all the money I stuck in the show and turn it to go)

I went junkyard shopping, Picked up a HF mani, and a turbo off an old Chrysler, it’s a teo4h, small but good size for the b7.

My next step was to mate the two together, this is where my homemade adapter plate comes in, I started out with a ½ piece of plate steel, traced out the flanges, finagled them together till they looked like they were in a good spot, traced them out, and started cutting. I then drilled and tapped holes in each side and welded in threaded rod.

After the adapter plate was finished, the downpipe needed to be made, I wanted to save some bank but still wanted a decent downpipe so I decided to go at it HMT style, Bought some straight pieces from work (advance auto parts) and went to town with the grinder and welder. This was so akward to make because the flange on the turbo is not round but more oval shaped, it turned out very good in the end. I also made the flange myself out of ½ plate steel.

Yes the pic is not fooling you, the downpipe is like 6 feet long, But I did weld a flexpipe section in. I welded in a second o2 bung right behing the flexpipe section

I then setup my oil lines, I purchased from stealthmode, they went on so nice its not even worth piecing together a cheap set yourself. Dropped and tapped the oil pan also. I didn’t even end up using the drain that came with the kit, the drain that was on the turbo saved me from kinking or running my drain uphill. I also just tapped into a coolant line and ran it through the turbo.

The charge piping consists of homemade depot couplers, radiator hose, and 2” EMT electrical conduit. I sidemounted a 1g dsm intercooler, fits real nice.

For the management, I used 450cc dsm injectors, homemade resistor box, chipped p06 ecu, and a plx m-300. I am tuning with Crome and datalogging with EcuControl.
Attachment 32750
I used a dremel and put the injector seals in a socket to bore them out so the 450’s fit inside them snug
Attachment 32751
This is my buddy jake helping me make the resistor box

Attachment 32753
Here is the resistor box installed, I know you love the sexy green electrical tape, its all I had to use at the time.
Attachment 32754
I chipped and installed the data cable, not a bad job for a first timer if I say so myself
Attachment 32755

Who would’ve knew installing a boost guage could be so much work, turned out real nice though.
Attachment 32756
Attachment 32757
I used these clips on pin d14 on my ecu so I can switch back and forth from my stock o2 to my wideband
Attachment 32758

My catchcan is one I made using a writeup I found here on hmt, its made from parts from home depot. I gutted out my pcv, and just ran it from the pcv to a barbed fitting I screwed into the air filter. I believe this is right, if you think it should be different let me know.
Attachment 32759

Here is some pics of the finished setup, Its currently boosting at 5lbs, im waiting on a boost controller, will prolly run 10-12 (think it should be ok with this small of a turbo, tell me what you think), currently in the tuning process. Thanks to dave (leed) for the basemap ( it’s a little lean but pretty close), and a HUGE thanks to HMT, I couldn’t have done it without this site, WHERES MY DAMN STICKERS?!?!
Attachment 32760
Fun cant last forever
Attachment 32761
Heres a pic of my dad, he helped me out a lot on the downpipe and adapter plate.
Attachment 32762

The car is now sitting, two days of being boosted and I lost my liscense, guess it gives me some time to get it tuned before beating on it, I will post some vids when I can.

Thanks HMT and who’s in charge of the stickers? I donated like a month ago and haven’t heard anything back yet.

the pic of me pulled over was for not having a front liscense plate, I lost my liscense because I got too many underage drinking tickets

Edit: I know the teo4h is small but I cant risk destroying my motor just yet, this project left me broke.

That is a nice job.Looks like you pay attention to detail and make a attempt at keeping it clean.Solid work and good luck getting your license back that must really hurt after all that work.
