Finally boosted!, but....
hey i finally got my d15b7 to boost at 5 psi. well let me start off with the setup
d15b7 motor
Garrett t3 42/48 ar.
custom 2" ic pippings
starion front mount with re-located end tanks
1st gen dsm blow-off valve
check valves
12:1 fmu
inline pump.
well anyways it's been running for a week now, it pulls strong full spool by 3k..and mad tire spin in 1'st and 2nd. But my problem is when I shift to second gear it doesn't have that strong grab, seems though the engine revs in one place for about a sec then it grabs. This might sound a lil confusing, but I think I need a to upgrade my tranny to an ex,si or somthin. cus' the gears suck *** right now i feel this car can go faster. help me out ya'll

Re:Finally boosted!, but....
clutch is slipping mine was doing the same thing, changed the clutch and did a fluid change , car grabs and pulls great, oh yea just dont replace the clutch plate, get a kit, i will be worth it and since your gonna be in there check the flywheel for various grind marks and a glazed flywheel mileage dependent, you might want to replace it

Re:Finally boosted!, but....
yeah sounds like you guys are right, I'm thinking that the whole way. clutch slippin. it revs high and the car stays in one place. ---- i'm pissed, took me 11 hours to install this bitch and tonite i lost to a b16 hatch cause of this slippin clutch. I just know I'll beat that hatch..but thanks alot guys. At least i have a solid conclusion to go with now. what clutch you guys recommend on this dx tranny that can eliminate slipping? oem replacement or the exedy ones from ebay? all I know is, my clutch never slipped like this when it was n/a but I ------ hit when it happens. feels like i'm being robbed of power.

HaHa..ain't that some ----, I just went to autozone and got me those lifetime clucth kits for $125 bucks. At first i was gonna install it but, I have no garage and its cold as ---- here in NE right now. My other option was sorta expensive, which was letting Pepboys install it for 249. Oh yeah I didn't want to make it as a complaint, sorry bout that. I just felt that 11 hours was grueling for me. Especially the oil pan part. I'm getting my car first thing tommorro morning and i'll update it and tell ya'll how it's runnin.
