PIR (Portland International Raceway) has Friday and Saturday night drags from 6pm to 12.... $8 to watch, $25 to race. While people bitch about the staging area, the rest of the track is brand new. So even with the rocks that the sticky tires drag up, it is pretty nice.

Woodburn Dragstrip (located in Woodburn, about 20 miles south of Portland) is a professional strip and $25 to race usually. Very well kept.

damn, guess i got it good. im 30 minutes from bandimere. downhill rolling staging lanes, uphill shutdown with plenty of room to slow down, track is well maintained, unless its test n tune or a street tire radial night. they only prep on those nights if someone oils. and real race days they prep the ---- out of it. only thing that suck is the place isnt cheap. 30 bucks for test n tune, 35 for club clash (another street car class), usually 40-45 for most other classes. but spectating is usually 10+, and half the time you gotta pay to park in the pits.

Im about 15 mins from Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida. Im sure you've heard of it if you watch Pass Time on speed, about the entire first season was filmed there. Plus ALOT of big events come here. Sea level, clean track, even on test and tune they VHT the track and are great about safety and inspecting the track. they just upped the price to 12 to get watch and 22 to run. The shutdown is pretty clean and with my slow *** trap speeds you've got tons of room to slow down unless you plan on making the first turn-off. Plus if anything happens to fail, youve got nothing but a cow pasture for about half a mile after the track. ---- brick walls.

The only track I've been to around here is US 41 dragway. I just went for a test and tune, and it was really pretty gay. It probably wouldn't have been so bad if my car was set up to use drag radials or slicks, because they hosed the ---- out of the water box area preventing any attempt at driving around it. This resulted in no traction until 3rd gear on a N/A B16, granted my suspension was all fucked up and out of alignment, rolling on some heavy *** ricer wheels and 205/40/16 cumhoes. Still managed a 2.2 60' though.

+1

Didn't some duchebag on this site say that a N/A B16 is worthless? Even though he was a retard I still agree with that. I can't imagine having traction problems after 1st gear with a b16
