Default F350 Intercoolers

How good at flowing are these core. My Bro-in-laws brother just hit a cow at 120kph(ya i live in hickville canada) and Insurance is getting him a new one. It is slighty bowed but they have straightened a few out before because they re-build these trucks.
I work a a custom fabricating place for the next three month so both mig and tig welder, all kinds of scrap aluminum, shear and break are at my disposal. So Custom end tank are no problem.

Will it be an upgrade over my audi front mount.

They use ---- extrude cores. Yes it will flow, but it won't cool as well as a bar&plate or a tube&fin type intercooler. I think there is a link in the FAQ that describes the differences in the cores. I wouldn't waste my time with it.

Like he said ^^^

For the time it would take to do it up you might as well just buy a JRC or a used one of some other type.

Well I have a used intercooler. My audi is only 14-18" inches wide though.

I'm going to do it because I'll get the Core for free, the end tanks will cost me nothing also. The tubes are near twice the size of my current one, the fins are larger, it is almost as thick, and it is 2-3 time wider.

And if it can handle a gaint desiel motor with 2-3 time my horsepower output, I think it can handle my motor.

I guess you didn't even need to post this then, huh? :P

The core is shitty. If you have any other kind of core on your current intercooler, you are downgrading to that Ford core. Oh well, whatever floats your boat. Just remember, bigger is not always better.
