Default a/f gauge issues

My a/f gauge reads rich....period.
There is no flickering, just 1 light to the right.
I checked the ground. I went on the computer side of the harness.
What color wire do I tap into?
It might be that the gauge is defective, but I think it was a defective installation
I haven't ruled out a bogus 02 sensor.

Yeah, hook it up to the white wire. it doesn't sound like it's wired up right.

run the wire for your gauge directly to the o2 sensor wire instead of going to the computer. it should also go to rich when you floor it anyway and not flicker (different fuel tables in the ecu), but if it's not flickering when idle or partial throttle (less than 50% i think) you probably hit the wrong wire at the ecu.

A/F gauges are supposed to be installed like 3 inches from the o2 sensor. Tap the white wire. Sound like it isnt getting a signal from the o2 sensor.

I just put mine in yesterday and I tapped in right off the ECU D14 was the pin I belive, it is the white wire. Also after the install it will take a min to warm up before you start to get a reading

correct. the car needs to warm up before the O2 starts working. The car goes rich until its hot enough.

yeah... your car needs to warm up first... I made that same mistake when I first installed my a/f gauge.
