Hello, I was wondering if anyone had modidied an HF/STD manifold for use w/ an external wastegate. I got a Turbonetics Deltagate for $50 from a friend w/ the flange.

never seen a HF manifold with an external but DSM guys weld on externals to there stock manifolds all the time i dont see it being a problem...

 

i have done this 3 or 4 times by drilling a hole in the top of the manifold on one of the end ports then inserting the proper size pipe into it and then welding the flange on . it works ok but get i welded with a high amp stick welder if you can or it tends to crack after time. harry

 

I got an idea one day of puting my O2 sensor after the turbo and puting an ext wastegate on the hole were the O2 used to go, you might have to make the hole larger or something , but it should work, atleast I think it should.
