For the money, honda makes the best turbo cam. It's already in your car.


Unless I was building a super high hp motor where ever little bit was important, or if I was trying to change the powerband of it, I wouldn't spend the money on a turbo cam.

I use a zex stage 2 cam in my setup and I love it. I've swapped between that and the stock cam while on boost and noticed a huge increase in power espescially up top with the zex cam. Stealthmode is probably right though. I could have just cranked the boost up more to get this power. The rods are what would be limiting my stock sohc's power.

 

last time i talked to WIl he didnt have a turbo cam... and i dont see one listed on the site.

well call will again, he said that he can make and grind a cam any way that i wanted.

he said that since his cams are of stock duration with higher lift that it is
better than most other turbo cams on the market because they lengthen the duration
wich is bad on a turbo car or somthing. correct me if i'm wrong

Right but he's looking specifically for a turbo cam. Crower makes a good turbo cam. I know the LS part number is the 402-T. They do make Vtec models but I'm not sure the number off the top of my head. Good cam to go with. It's got a short duration but a good ammount of lift. Not too much need for trying to dial out your overlap since it's specifically designed to be run with an FI setup.
