Default Exhaust leak, FIXED WELL SORT OFF!!UPDATE

Well after this morning's run in with the law:
https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...threadid=22370
I got to work and about 30 min ago, my lunch hour, I was checking the car, engine bay. I can finally listen to what's going on in there, before it was too loud, open downpipe, and I adjusted my timing, at the distributor, it was way too retarded, and now it idles like a champ, but I noticed a lot of exhaust blowby coming from the manifold to adapter plate connection. Then I remember, I didn't use a gasket here, so I think that's why it only boosts 4psi and I get full boost at 4,400rpms.

SOHC Vtec ZC, IHI RHb5, starion FMIC, AFC hack.

Anyhow, does someone know where to find that gasket on the net. The dealer said I had to wait 2 weeks. I checked majestichonda.com, and didn't find it. I;m going to search some more, but If someone know where to get it, let me know.

Thanks

I found it in Majestic and also Discount Auto parts.
thanks anyways

But am I right in thinking that's affecting my spool time, and boost pressure?

I didn't use either gasket between mani/adapter/turbo, I get full boost at around 4500 rpms and my boost controller won't up the boost past 6 psi,

Mabye we have a common problem?

Maybe, I get 4-5 psi. I thought about getting an MBC to boost higher, but I'm not sure what's going on. I know the leak is affecting somehow, so i'll fix that.

I'm a dumbass, I have the manifold to adapter plate gasket, I need the adapter plate to turbo gasket, and now I remember that Mazda told me the same thing, 2 weeks, and it was like $25.00. I think I found it on Advanced auto parts, but they want $31.00 for it.

Exhaust leaks are usually visually noted, ---- you can even feel them while the car is running. Try taking some studs/bolts out of one side of the header.. I've ran into plenty of exhaust leaks before, that ---- can make things nasty.

Are you seeing a visual sign of the leak?

Don't forget the copper rtv (yeah I'm an rtv freak)

Yes, I can see the smoke, but I was at my work's parking and it's hot as hell outside, Florida woo woo, so I know there's a leak somewhere.

EDIT: Actually the smoke, could even be the paint burning out, the last owner of this turbo, decided to paint the hot side, red, so all that paint has been burning off litle by little. But I can still hear a leak, exhaust leak, it's not too loud, but when I accelerate I can hear it.

Smoke is one thing, I'm asking about that black chared look, carbonated out and ----. You know where I'm getting at.

Yeah I know, well today was the first day I drove it more than 5 miles in months, so I have not seen any build up, but maybe in a couple of days i'll see something.
