Default EX mani piping

im going to try to make my own exhaust manifold for my crx in my metals class im taking in school. I was wondering what size pipe u guys think i should use i was gunna buy two 2" u bends and i made the t-3 plate and then buy wier's d series plate. would the 2 u bends be enough to do a semi modified log style manifold? And also is 2 inch a good size for my exhaust manifold?
