for my winter build i want to turbo my car and i want to use a evo3 16g because it wont have that much lag. i want to make 270-280 whp on pump gas and at least 300whp on race gas. i just want to know if this turbo can make that much power and if cant which turbo do you guys think is best for me? i also wanted to know what i have to do in oder to make
an evo3 work on a b16. can this turbo make power at 8000rpms if i port it a little?

i want to have at least 110mph traps in the 1/4 mile( my car weighs 2600lbs).

What does that have to do with knowing whether they are Mitsu turbos or not? All he did was specify a variant of a mitsu turbo. since there are multiple MHI 16g's.

As for the Evo3 16g, it is relativly easy to make 300whp on pump on a 2.0 4g63. I'm not sure how it will behave on your B16 since I don't have any experience with honda. I would assume with the nice head design and the high rpm with a b16 that it wouldn't be too hard to make 300 either.

the evo3 16g will make 300 whp on a b16. whether it makes power at 8k, depends on what cams an headwork you have. an evo3 16g will bolt right to any 14b/16g flanged manifold for a b series, just like any other junkyard turbo.

you're gonna need right around 300 whp trap 110 in a 2600 lb car. my full interior, full weight 94 teg made 302 and trapped 111, so im not just pulling that knowledge from my ass. good luck.

on a 1.6 a 16g will have full boostie pretty quickly - not a bad choice for a 300hp goal.

The way i see it is that this thread is useless. This kinda info can be found all over the web by doing a simple search . whether it be on hmt , ht or google . No it will not, not even close. The 16g from the evo is a twin scroll and the flange is way different!! Not even close enough to redrill.

YES IT WILL. The Evo 3 16g bolts straight up to any 14b 16g manifold it is single scroll. You are thinking of the newer evo turbos, which are twin scroll.
