Is it even possible
I have a question, how is it possible to make more vacuum when I open the throttle body?? It idles at 15-16 vac, then I push in the throttle like 5-15% it goes to 10 vac then drops to 20 vac and dies. HELP!!

Re: Is it even possible
sounds like a vacuum leak or a problem with your idle air control valve. check all the vacuum lines to make sure they are attached. if they are all ok, then i'd say it has something to do with the iacv, or perhaps your map sensor.

Re: Is it even possible
Filter is off so thats not the problem and I even have the BOV off for more air, its freshly rebuilt so the rings haven't seated yet and there is plenty of smoke coming from the exhaust so its not plugged. At first when we were trying to get it running after the rebuild the MAP sensor CEL kept coming on so I removed me VAFC and soldered all the wires back together the MAP sensor CEL went off. Now every once and a while the CEL will come on but it will not show the code when jumpered. I have checked all of the Vacuum lines and can't find a problem. It idles perfect but any kind of throttle and it dies. BTW its a D16Z6, DSM T-25, 1G DSM Side Mount, DSM 450s with 10/10 resistors, Uberdata, Comp 59100 Cam. The only way that you can get it to rev over 3k is tapping the throttle to about 10% multiple times in a row.

Re: Is it even possible
It ran fine b4 the rebuild, when I was running the stock computer and the VAFC until the VAFC advanced the timing to the point of the melting of 2 pistons. But I just took the IACV off to check the filter on it and it was one dirty bitch so I sparyed it with Brake Cleaner and I'm waiting for it to dry so I can put it back on.
