Default Emissions

I would like to know what you personally do to pass your state emission for your turbo projects. or what you have that makes you not have to worry bout them.

It depends on the state. Emissions where I live in PA consists of an under-hood inspection, checking that there are no exhaust leaks, checking the catalytic converter, and a gas cap check. Other states like California go to the extremes with their standards, and unless you leave your vehicle stock it probably won't pass.

Best bet is to leave the car in n/a form with all emissions equipment still attached, go get your emissions test, and then put your turbo setup back on.

yeah it all depends on where you live, here in illinois, i think all they do now is check to see if you have a check engine light or not. there's no more dyno testing for obd1

i live in Cali, so there is no way i can get my ---- legally smog'ed. it has to be CARB approved which is about 3 g's for a turbo kit....
