Default Electronic boost controller

Okay I am well on my way to finishing my design of a electronic boost controller. What would be a good price to sell these things at? Considering that the brand name stuff sells for like 600 USD, I think about 200 USD would be a reasonable price. Anyone interested in testing my prototypes?

I am still working on a VAFC controller, but the electronic boost controller was a bit more interesting to me. Maybe in the near future I can integrate a VAFC and electronic boost controller together, maybe a boost retard will be integrated also. My real goal is to have all the goodies; electronic boost control, VAFC, retarding, datalogging, and sensor display all in 1 unit, and sell it for cheap price.

Anyways, back to the electronic boost controller, what would be a good price? depending on what people are willing to pay I will alter my design accordingly. Right now, Black light LCD, boost controll soleniod and Microcontroller. If people are willing to pay more, I would fabricate a nice "ricey" case and some "ricey" ***** and switches.

Any Feedback would be great.

Salut

how about a pic of what it looks like, i'm not gonna pay 200 bucks for a lcd with loose wires or plastic glued around it, and yeah, i think you better have some people test it with some feedback before a price is negotiated. good job though man, i'm not trying to knock you, i think that's awesome

I think it all depends on the features and the look of the unit. You could grab yourself a nice profec B for around 300, so if you were going to price point a basic controller without the features of some of the other controllers I think 200 would be too much. You either need to appeal to those who want all the bells and whistles (but $100 less than the brand names) or to the people who just want a basic controller (and would jump at the chance to get one for $100 total).
I am in the market for an EBC, so if you would like to have someone work with you in terms of testing I would be willing to work with you.

humm.

I can live with 100 USD. The thing is gonna look nasty though. I might make a box for it our of cardboard I will take pictures as soon I finish the programming on the microcontroller, so far I have the soleniod and the circuitry working.
