Re: Set-up on a f22b1, critique's please

I'm getting some good head studs made for me so thats all set, and I'm not really worried about the H/g since I'm gettin those head gaskets. Luckily, if the engine does pop or anything, 400 bucks can get me another one lol

Can I get away with a cheaper wastegate? I've been thinking maybe just an ebay one on that too... I'm hoping to find some of these parts cheaper on yahoo japan auctions but we will have to wait and see

Whatsup girlie...

Ebay BOV are fine i used a tial knockoff for a year or so... worked/sounded great. I still think you should invest in a real Tial wastegate but its up to you. As for the block... With a good tune.. ALLLL youl need are the ARPS to go to 10 psi and above on those turbos... Dont wory about posting or filling anything.

If you get a good tune on your ride, it will last a long time...... i beat mine like a red headed stepchild for over a year. Motor is still in the car running even after taking off the kit and reselling it to someone on this site. 25000 BEATEN BOOSTED miles. Still runs fine.

Re: Set-up on a f22b1, critique's please

O hey bigdaddy wats up? Yea, I want to go close to 300whp so with the turbo's I've listed I'm assuming I'll have to run between 12-15psi to get there, hopefully the engine can take the beating. I'll probably try and get a good deal on a wastegate from japan and have it shipped in, might do the same for the BOV. I also only plan to drive this car about 8 months out of the year, it will probably see 8-10k a year so I don't think I should have any problems with the block. Hopefully I can get some pistons and rods but that won't be any time soon. I'll definitely look into that audi WG as well, thx guys!

who you callin an -------???

you could save money by using a junkyard turbo
a manifold will be the expensive part, the f22b has the uneven ports right?

suprachica79 01-16-2007 10:08 AM

Re: Set-up on a f22b1, critique's please

Yea, it's uneven port spacing. I found a cast one for $300, I was hoping to find a used one but I doubt thats going to happen. And Im not aware of any junkyard turbo's that are the size I'm looking for. I was shooting for a t3/o43 with around 57trim and .63/.60 a/r.

Re: Set-up on a f22b1, critique's please

i think there is a t3 thunderbird thats a 60/63, and i think a big 16g could do it too

I wasnt talkin bout you gen4, some of you guys who are from accordinglydone are nice, but there's alot fo asshols on here you have to admit lol. The f23 doesn't have the same spacing, it wont bolt on. Hey guys, I found a turbonetics deltagate wastegate used foir $100obo, should I jump on that?

Re: Set-up on a f22b1, critique's please

at least its not a dohc f22, same patterns as a h23, and they dont make ---- for a jdm f22b/h23-so i found out after thats the motor my wife wanted in her accord...ive been running a ssauto 38mm wastegate with no problems, as several people i know. Manifold selection would be pretty limited-searched ebay? i agree with the thunderbird turbo idea or the big 16g. turbocreations on ebay actually has a decent 60/63 turbo that im running on my b16, and im not the only one here locally running them-none have shattered in the past year.

And a female that is settin up her OWN car with her OWN setup truly kicks ass..thats how i met my wife.. :y :y

I think id rather run the ssautocrap wastegate that the delta creep. Someone will disagree but for thwe most part, i wouldnt do it.. Just keep your eyes peeled for a tial used 38mm with a .5 bar spring in it.
