I picked one of those to4e copies up not too long ago for someone else's cheap project (some retarded tiburon v6 turbo project he wants to do) and it did have the chra balanced with the grind marks on the nut. Early versions of these turbo's never had the balancing done to the exhaust wheel nut (and I've had quite a few in my possession from people wondering why they failed), and according to the picture in his link there are no balancing marks on the exhaust nut. It is possible that other companies are buying these turbos from china and then balancing them once they receive them, but I'd still like to see it up close and personal first before I made a final judgment call.

I just wonder about the 450hp max? shouldn't a 60-1 be cable of quite a bit more than that? I 50 trim will do 450plus and have a lot less mass.

60-1 is rated to 5 and change I think.

Yeah, that turbo should push around 61 lbs/min compared to like 46 lbs/min from a .50 trim. I wanna run that model turbo on the Spec in the future, but I wouldn't trust the ebay model. If I did though, I would try and get it from ETD motors or CX racing(companies sell the same products). There cdm stuff SEEMS decent. But me personally I'd just save a few more hundred dollars and get that same turbo from turboelements, phoenix turbo, or ATP turbo. They all sell that same turbo for $750-$800, and it will be a genuine Garrett model.

were looking to try that turbo too on a stock ls. judging from the exhualst housing its from the same chinese manufacturer that makes the ones etd sells for 150 shipped. we have 3 of those on different cars hold up just fine on daily driven cars. the specs looks like a cut and paste from the smaller turbos but its ovious the compressor wheel is bigger comparing it to the 4 inch inlet. its not the same turbos that ssauto sells if you look at them its oviously different. we had one of his xs power turbos and it failed. we went 11.4@124 on a stock ls with the smaller turbo so hopefully the new one holds up just as good
