Yeah it was broke. I driller it out and used an easy-out came out easily

In the pass side wheel well with the ports down. Fits pretty good except the one port on it hangs down just a tad too far. I'd like to get a 1g DSM since they fit so well.

You should of used that header and made a top mount out of it. That home depot elbows and t's are straight gangsta though. Did you leave the threading in it or grind it down?

Ground it down with a carbide bit and my Harbor freight die grinder. Smooth like a mach 3'ed buck knuckle.

Update:

The saab intercooler has to go. I test drove it around the block near my house and the intercooler outlet just hangs too low. I'm currently going to use a 2g DSM sidemount I have. I'm modding the top outlet slightly to fit.

Basically I cut the outlet back just enough to make it straight. Then I'm going to use 2 90*'s of some sort (copper pipe, PVC, ect...) so it goes to the right (looking from the front) and up the hole in the body.

After heating up I revved the motor some to redline and, it burns some oil it seems. I think I'm just going to turbo it anyway if I can get another z6 block.

A local junkyard has a complete z6 and trans for $350. It's got 150k on the clock, and the car looks like some ricer kid owned it, clear corners, alloy wheels, air intake bracket instead of an airbox. I was thinking of offering like $250 with the argument that:

A. A heavy footed person probably owned cause of mods
B. has 150k
C. I don't even know if the trans grinds or not

What do you guys think?

ya pick it up even for $300 150 km is nothing (i think its worth it)
how long was your car sitting (valve seals hardening/rotting can cause blue smoke)
i have the same problem and im going for emissions tomorrow (just added some molly slip to the oil)
going to go pick up a traction bar tomorrow (100 km there and back) then go straight for my test (throw some better gas in and pump up the tires to 45psi)

I offered $300. He said he'd rather crush it. He wants $350. So I walked away, just because he's being a dick.

The car was sitting for a little bit like a month not running max. maybe it is valve seals, I haven't really been able to drive the car to find out, it's not registered and have no insurance. lol most I've done is let it warm up and take it around the block.
