Re: E-b0la's project car + turbo (Clutch + trans done)
Well I got the clutch in and the trans back together:
Well the y8 trans feels much better, I just have to stiffen up the shift linkage. The stabilizer bar that hold the ball on the shifter is worn out and there's lots of slop in the shifter.
Also, even with a new clutch, the pedal still feels like ***. Kinda squishy and not good and firm. It's been bled properly too. Anyone think that this could be caused by a worn out Master cylinder and slave cylinders? Theres no leaks anywhere, and I tried playing around adjusting the pedal.
All I have left to take care of is the TPS issue and the non-working directionals.

Good clutch. I like mine alot. It didn't stiffen up the pedal like I thought it would so don't expect that clutch assembly to make it feel like an ACT UNsprung 4 puck or anything (thank God). Squishy feeling? Does it engage fine? If so then no reason to worry I'd say. If there is no mechanical problems I wouldn't be concerned with it and like I said that clutch WILL NOT give you an immensly stiff pedal feedback. Little more than stock, but stil...

Re: E-b0la's project car + turbo (Clutch + trans done)
We put an XTD on my buddys 240sx KA-T. It was probly makin 220 to the wheels. The clutch held fine. But if you'd clutch kick it it would slip. It had a crappy soft pedal feel to though.

Along with the pedal feeling softish, it doesn't engage until the pedal is close to all the way out. It just feels crappy compared to my 98 EX which still has the stock clutch on 98k miles.

Re: E-b0la's Project car + Turbo (Log Manifold complete)
The log is done:
Check fab forum for more details
Al back together. Picked up a D15b7 throttle body for it yesterday with good sensors, so no more code 7 (TPS). I think it had a B18 throttle body on it correct me if I'm wrong, here's some measurements I took:
original throttle body: 2.32xx"
D15B7: 2.22xx"
I measured the port on the manifold also with calipers anc came up with roughly 2.22x" for the opening, so I something wasn't right.

Re: E-b0la's Project car + Turbo (Log Manifold complete)
You should have done an elephant manifold - blingin' topmount! It less, unless you use 3" pipe for the DP. I got mine to fit with AC, so it makes non-AC cars a sinch. If you place the smic where the condensor usually goes, a short elbow could have worked perfectly.
Oh well, looks like a good cheap HMT anyways. I find it funny how those Tee's and Ell's are the perfect size!

Re: E-b0la's Project car + Turbo (Log Manifold complete)
can someone explain to me why most of the boosted cars here on HMT have no radio? instead the gauges replace it? ---- even two front speakers and a radio is hellofalot better than nothing..............
