Nice numbers. Where at in PA is Dillsburg? If its anywhere near Maple Grove Raceway try and come this saturday for the last test and tune, I'll be there.

Thanks!
The car makes torque from pretty low down. Unless the missing peak torque due to wheel spin affected the peak hp reading...
Here is the graph

The boost gauge was reading 11 during the pulls.
I'll check out where maple grove is. I am really impatient to get this car to the track!

Not always
so u turn ur v8 into a flat 8, big deal. All u need is a bunch of jb weld.

But seriously, running 500 on a stock 5.0 is like running 240 on a d. Its a risk some are willing to take.

I've seen stock blocks take well over 500 hp.......doesn't mean that it can't be done....they are just on borrowed time when it does happen.

My idea for this project was to keep hp below 500 (for the blocks sake) and not rev past 6000rpm. This way, no need for special engine components. Yet with alot of low end torque, you can still accelerate pretty well. This car has all its smog equipment intact too and passed emissions in MD.

I dont remember what they are called, but someone makes a block support for the 5.0 302 say it on Horsepower TV, it prevent the block from cracking under high rpms, and high pressure from turbo or supercharger setups.. i think it is only like 100.00 bucks and it is a diy install.

this should resolve your block splitting problems..
