They tried line boring and sleeving the block, but the materail that was removed from the spin bearing wore in an oval shape and no sleeves could be found that were up to the task.
They ended up putting nascar style needle bearing cam bearings in it ( $$$$ ). The builder told my friend to drop the block and he would take care of it. A month my friend goes to get the block and the shop hands him a bill for $800 for cam bearings !!!
