Dyno sheet and few crappy phone pics
Well here is the dyno sheet i thought it would have been more but who knows. I seem to be having some problems with boost and my profec. dave had it steady at 10lbs tuning but when i went to the dyno in 3rd gear i could have swore it only was at 8lbs. when the profec is on and is set to high boost it shoots over 11lbs and sputters at around 6000rpms in third. but when the gain is set all the way to low it still shoots past 11lbs. setting the profec on low boost 3rd gear was only getting 8lbs then in 4th 10lbs? boost creap? Even when you turn the profec off now i am still getting 10lbs i believe. oh well on to the pics and graph.
https://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b...dynosheet2.jpg Don't get me wrong i was wanting over 200whp but was hoping for around 250 at 10lbs and my buddy with a supercharged si is making more power then me. https://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b...i/dynopic1.jpg Dave what would you/your friend you were telling me about charge if i came up to you and had you fix my vaccuum sources? |

Re: Dyno sheet and few crappy phone pics
man I heard you got like totally raped (black cock/asian style) for your install on your turbokit? You should have called me up, I install kits for around 250 bucks and its always done in 1 day.
It definatly shows on your graph that boost was falling, b16a cams still should hold torque to 7500 |

I would not be apposed to maybe having you install 2 more gauges and a vacuum manifold and maybe taking the car for a spin to see if everything checks out ok :) if you wanted shoot me a price for 2 gauges and a vacuum mani and some trouble shooting if i do not get the problem fixed by then |
Re: Dyno sheet and few crappy phone pics
here is what i paid for
turbo kit install 4 gauges boost/oil pressure/oil temp/water temp. Only boost was installed and he had to buy a new oil pressure gauge cause i bought all non electric ones (so i have 3 gauges for sale for about 65 bucks) oil change all my piping was wrong so he had to outsource it to turbo tech which charges a arm and leg but has good work. they had to lengthin my downpipe to meet up with the test pipe greddy profec b greddy TT fuel pump clutch resurface flywheel I only wanted to spend around 1500 for all that but what can you do if it runs over. I think it was a fair deal from a shop i guess i dunno. |
Re: Dyno sheet and few crappy phone pics
electronic boost controllers cuck the sock. The best boost controller I ever had now sleeps under Jeff's hood.

Re: Dyno sheet and few crappy phone pics
Your boost control situation sucks. And boost that falls off from 7-8k, pretty much blows ass too.
Like I said before, I really wish Josh was there when you dyno'd to dial your ign timing up on the high cam to see what it wanted. All in due time :) |
Re: Dyno sheet and few crappy phone pics
looks like a very streetable tune, nice and smooth. would do very well in a smaller car.
all you would have needed to do is say you have a keg at your house and you would have all kinds of people installing your setup. |

All in due time :) I went out this morning, a few screw turns and hose checks later on the freeway it is holding steady at 10lbs on the gauge on the freeway at 8krpm last night from the moive it was droping to around 9lbs on the gauge. I will see if jeff has time to hook up the vacuum manifold and 2 other gauges when they come in and take it out for a spin to see what he thinks then make another day with you dave sometime in the next month or so hopefully with some GSR cams and a dyno for you. |
