Dyno Day Single Cam Style

Well, with some advice from Pat and my tuner, I've already improved on this.

164whp/150wtq @8psi, but I didnt have the car timed right.

So the setup was the jdm d15b vtec, Crome, dsm 450's, type 31 fmic, type s bov, 2.5" downpipe-back

Today since this run on the dyno I have already bumped it to 10psi (11psi creep in 3rd), and fixed my timing issue.

Here's the chart

not bad at all, although i think you could've made it to 190-200hp if you went a little leaner on the fuel-closer to 13 a/f ratio. not bad at all though.

Yeah I want to keep it a reliable tune though.

I am already probably closer to 180 now with the boost increase since the dyno. I want to move up to a bigger FMIC, a shitbird manifold, and a t3 soon. Then I need to build up something for traction (quiafe and slicks).

how much did it cost you to dyno at torque freaks?

Most people shoot for 12.1:1-12.5:1 for F/I applications. 13:1 would be asking for a hole in your piston.

Nice numbers. :) What turbo are you running right now?

Is this on a mitsu/GReddy TD04h-15g? If that's the case then my street tuning abiltiy is decent.. he he he. I dynoed 166 whp/175 tq on the VAFC "hack"/450cc DSM's on a steady 8 psi (10 psi peak) OBD2b. Mine is D16Y8 GReddy 15g with 2.5 exhaust piping.

Goodluck man...

Yes this is the GReddy 15g.

This one is less than street tuned. My tuner operates out of CT, so the tuning consisted of me running the car with just an autometer AF gauge and saying "do this" using crome, by the third chip this is what came up.

The dyno was just 3 pulls for horsepower and wideband graphs, no tuning done.

Oh yeah and the TorqueFreaks dyno cost me $29.99 + $10 wideband, they're having a sale.

where was you autometer gauge at when you where done tunning? was it 3/4 rich or half between rich and lean?
the tune came out good, if it would've came out at 12.4 a/f it would've been perfect but you're very close to that.

It would have been nice if you could have got an A/F fuel print out over the whole rpm range so you know exactly what's going on. Look pretty good though for the tuner being on the otherside of the US lol.
