Don't forget about the garage mod you can do to the 1G BOV to allow it to hold higher boost levels. There's a nice write up floating around the internet. Just search 1G garage mod. I think 2 of them modified for high boost would do the trick and then some and still cost about 1/4 of a Tial.

On my old rx7 I had one of the dsm bov's with the bottom bleed hole JB welded and it held 30# no problem.

I've never heard of doing that, did it open a bit slower?

what the advantge of haveing a bov by the intercooler?is it just to hide/make room for the bov?

I place mine before the intercooler so it is not charge cooling air that would otherwise be potenially wasted. It also heats up unessesarily when you could have just bypassed the air instead of making the intercooler work that much harder.

It is the same thing as doing the above link
http://www.thedodgegarage.com/turbo_bov_mod.html
just without the option of hooking a vac line to the underside port.

It still opens up fast, just blows of harder. Don't think I would do it for anything under 15#, but I never had that car under 30 so it worked perfect. :)

By putting the BOV near the intercooler and not the throttle body, air that is between the throttlebody and the intercooler, will have to reverse directions in the piping to be evacuated by the BOV. This will create more lag as the airflow isn't as smooth.

Some say put it right after the turbo, some say put it on the pipe going to the TB, so I did both. I need to do the mod sometime, but I'm lazy.
