dsm t25 turbo
just got a dsm t25 turbo for my 99 civic si. looking for a manifold and downpipe, and im having a hard time. can anyone help me out?
|
Re:dsm t25 turbo
yea how much do downpipes usually cost to get made at a muffler shop or somethin?
|
Re:dsm t25 turbo
about 70 bucks. you can probably get a complete exhaust for like 150
|
Re:dsm t25 turbo
use the stock 02 housing and ahve an exhaust shop make you a dp. as for manifold??? don't have a b series so i can't help you

Re:dsm t25 turbo
Nobody makes a manifold with a T25 flange for Hondas (b or d series). Get a turbo manifold, doesn't matter which one in this case, then build yourself an adapter plate by going to the local welder shop and buying a 3/4" x about 4" piece of steel. Get the bolt pattern right on both sides, and bore out the appropriate sized hole in the middle. If you don't have any tools, the same shop you purchase the steel from will likely be able to build the whole piece for about $100. Same concept as D series guys do with HF/STD manifolds...

Re:dsm t25 turbo
the guy in the classifieds making them might make u up one.
ask him |
Re:dsm t25 turbo
I have a T25 adapter plate that adapts it to an HF manifold for sale. Let me know if you're interested
Thanks Dan |
Re:dsm t25 turbo
you might want to rethink using the t25. the b16 has a really high rev limit where as the t25 runs out of steam pretty early. not a very good match up. just a suggestion.

Re:dsm t25 turbo
what he says is true. My freinds gst tends to die out near the redline and it totally stock. But your increase will be so great that you probably wont even worry about that right now. I got my downpipe done at the shop for about 50 bucks. Just get an o2 housing that came with the t25 and use that. The muffler shop can weld you a flange to match and you wont have to change anything permanently.

Re:dsm t25 turbo
ACTUALLLY, HKS DOES make a turbo manifold with a flange for the T-25, just found it myself on their homepage. It goes for like $335 though. That's expensive(for me) but I sure would like to have one...T-25 and 14b share the same flange right??

Re:dsm t25 turbo
Beau was making custom manifolds. try him.
|
Re:dsm t25 turbo
get a t3 or t3/t4 turbo. that hks manifold isn't for the dsm t25. it's for a jdm t25.

Interesting! I'll have to check that out. |
Re:dsm t25 turbo
it's probably for the silvia T25 though.....
|
Re:dsm t25 turbo
The HKS manifold does NOT fit dsm turbos. It's a different flange.
|
Re:dsm t25 turbo
DAMN!!! thanks for lettin me know b4 I went and dropped a big chunk of money....why would they produce a manifold that fits the D16 but uses a T25 from a JDM silvia, I've never heard of anyone using that setup, bet it would kick ass...is that the same as a Garrett T-25?? I read that they used those on some Pontiac turbo Grand Prix(or AM) a few years back....

Re:dsm t25 turbo
There are probably 50 variations of the T25...I've seen the old school T25s on Ebay from the 70s. Don't think for a second that these are as efficient as the T25s that came on 95+ eclipses.
