Default DSM t25 turbo

Hey guys, been looking around for compressor maps for a 2G DSM T25 turbo, but I have yet to find anything, I found one for sale with less than 40,000km on it for $100, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. I'm planning on putting it on my 1.5L tercel, which I assume it will be a decent fit for it at the stock setting of 7psi, as a street driven turbo setup.. I don't want a turbo that's going to be spooling while in traffic jams..

Here you go. I am using the same turbo on a 4AGE. I know several guys that are using this turbo and it a nicely matched turbo to the 4AGE. If you are looking for top end then look elsewhere as you will be hard pressed to make more then 225hp from it. It spools fast though.

Also this turbo will last a long time when properly cared for. It is small turbo but probably the best matched turbo considering if your goal is less then 250hp.

Awesome man, the 3E-E is a 1.5L, doesn't flow as good as a 4age, but your opinion sure seems like this turbo does make sense, thanks!

I'm only looking for 150hp max lol

There are guys that have been boosting them with plenty of success considering the fact they are running stock internals, it's a really promising and cheap motor it seems.

I have a DSM/Garrett T25 of a 99 GSX. I have it on my D16Z6 at it holds 8psi all day long. I drive a lot on the freeway and I am never in boost during cruising or in traffic. My civic gets better mileage now then before I put the turbo on. I get 33-35 mpg every fill up. I don't drive like Miss Daisy either. Don't get me wrong, the thing spools hella easy. I think the turbo works great and it sound awesome cause it spools so fast. I got mine for about $125 shipped with low low miles on it. It is great for stock internals and has proven to be very reliable. It is made by Garrett and most folks don't like them because you can't put too much more to them than stock wastegate without really juicing them. Small turbo, spools fast, quick on the bottom. I'd do it again!

I don't know about 3E-E but the 4EFE, 5EFE, and especially the 5EFHE are great turbo motors. The 5EFHE is such a great turbo motor that a lot of people buy the $EFTE and steal its pistons ECU and swap it over to the 5EFHE because of its more robust rods and crank and the better cams and intake. I know that this is not specific to your 3E E but they are all in the same class of motors. I remember seeing a guy that removed the pistons from a 5EFHE and he grinded dishes into them to lower the CR and then he made 250whp with it in a Paseo or Tercel. He had it tuned but still that is a impressive feat.

Also they are cheap to come buy when you find them in the junk yard.

Another good thing about it is if after you build up the car and the turbo is not big enough you can swap it for any Mitsubishi turbo like a 14B or hell even a 16G. I know it is Garrett but when Mitsubishi had Garrett make those turbo's for them they made them to match the Mitsubishi spec turbo meaning they share the same Wastegate style and downpipe flange.

Yeah dude I know all about the E series engines, a lot of guys are boosting 5EFE with 4EFTE ---- on them and this one guy in Maryland is making close to 400hp on his!

Very good to know i've made the right choice, I have a friend with a T25 I'm buying from him with 60k miles on it, and he's giving me that and a blitz DD bov both for $200.

Plus if the T25 dies or you want a little more power, they make a bolt on version of it called the Big T28... It will make about another 25 horsepower at the exact same boost levels. This turbo can also handle a few more pounds before it becomes a hair dryer.

Forced Performance Turbochargers: DSM FP Big 28 Turbo

Note: Not trying to advertise for ForcedPerformance, they just have a nice, clean cut website that shows off the upgrade turbo nicely.

Or I could just got buy a T28bb from a S15 SR20det, that would fit also, and be $500 less..
