you have to rev i high/hard enough to create boost, even though it will be only like 2lbs or something, it should blow off if you pull off the gas pedal quickly.

gotta be load...some do under low pressure....some do only under higher pressure...when u let off the air will surge out of the bov..the more the air the louder it is...

I've played with enough 2g BOVs. No, they shouldn't suck air up. Only air being sucked up is thru the filter -> MAF

generally anything over 18" of vac should be able to open it. the springs in those are pretty soft. i had one on my MR2 for a little experiment and i needed a bleed valve on the port to keep it closed at idle from the vacuum, so yes, it will likely open up on a rev.

The factory 2g BOVs are meant for recirculation. If you unhook it off the intake pipe, cap off the intake pipe and just let it sit there, it won't suck up air. If you do a quick rev is will expell air.. kinda a "cough" sound.

very true, same on 1G BOVs too. Although a 2G BOV will be able to hold enough boost for any stock honda motor(15psi or so) I would recommend the 1G one(good up to 22ish psi). If you come across a 2G bov cheap, go right ahead, keep the limit of it in mind though.

Happy boosting

Quadnie is talking about when they are on stock eclipses. You don't have a maf sensor.

Your bov is fine.
